Tattoo Removal
Dr. Thoma does tattoo removal by excision. Some larger tattoos may require skin grafting. We do not do lazer treatment for tattoos. A consultation is required to assess the size of the tattoo and the method of excision. Small tattoos are usually excised under local anesthesia. The area is then sutured. Dr. Thoma removes the sutures about 10 days after excision. Patients are left with a scar which usually takes 6 – 12 months to mature and fade.
